We're passionate about Black British History and committed to educating and sharing the achievements and contributions of Black people to UK history but we can only do this with your support.
Black History Month UK is about encouraging you to discover and celebrate Black people who have helped shape the history and culture of the UK.
If you’d like to join us and help spread the word. We’re currently looking for individuals to join us in a variety of roles - writers, designers, event organisers, and office administration.
All applicants for volunteer roles need to be in sympathy with the ethos and culture of the charity and committed to the charitable aim of the organisation of celebrating and promoting Black British History in the UK.
Become a member of IBHM-UK and help us raise awareness of UK Black History amongst the Black British community and the widen population.
Our one-year membership normally costs £20 but if you register today you'll pay nothing for the next 12 months.
Membership benefits include a welcome email, regular email updates and exclusive extras: events, members competition, and entry to the IBHM-UK book and movie club.
Can you help support our work with a small donation of £5?
We're dedicated to educating everyone on the achievements and contributions of African and Caribbean heritage peoples have made to UK’s history, economy and culture.
A donation of £5 will help ensure that we're able to to continue researching and sharing stories on UK Black History and help us to organise more events for UK Black History Month and beyond.
